I abhor my comments in the letter for a grade appeal which used extreme wording which unfortunately were untrue about the professor. I cannot even find words to express how deeply ashamed I am of my inappropriate behavior as a Masters’ student.I am a military serviceman and have served in my country and overseas with pride and dignity. The military has taught me the importance of obedience and discipline, virtues that I completely failed to uphold when writing the grade appeal letter. I am also a family man with a lovely God-fearing wife and a son and have great respect for them. I have constantly taught my son the value of being polite and honest as well as not letting emotions overcome the situation. I clearly let my emotions for failing the course repeatedly take control against my better judgment. I sincerely pray that you may find it in your heart to forgive my actions and words and not throw me out of the school. The book of First John 1: 9 says that “If we confess our sins…he will forgive us and purify us from all unrighteousness.” My actions have been unrighteous and I seek forgiveness. The good book also says in Mathew 6: 14 “For if you forgive men when they sin against you, the heavenly father will also forgive you.” Your forgiveness to me will mean a lot to not only me but my family and the Lord our father. I assure you and the entire fraternity that I will be an obedient, honest and honorary student from now henceforth if you only find it in your heart to grant me another chance to complete my remaining semester.
